Mexican Cuisine
If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.

Despite the menu's horrible spelling, the food here is quite good! I do NOT like mexican food but I do like chicken, rice, and flour tortillas so that's what I ordered: rico rice. On top of the chicken & rice was a creamy spicy cheese sauce. VERY yummy! Our waiter was soft-spoken but everything came out correctly and the drinks were refilled often. And of course there were free chips & salsa. If you like mexican food i'd recommend this place for sure-good prices for lunch!

Probably one of the best Mexican restaurants I've had! The Margarita was excellent as was the service. I had the Banderas Enchiladas which was a beef, a chicken and the chorizo. All were soo good! The salsa with the chips is excellent! Just enough zip to it served from a small bottle into your own monkey dish. This would be a regular place for me if I lived here! Good job guys!

We ate here last Friday while on a trip to Little Rock. The prices were reasonable. While we didn't order any alcohol, there was a full bar in the center of the restaurant. Complimentary chips and salsa are always a favorite! Our waitress was friendly, though her English wasn't strong enough to really be taking orders. She got 3/5 orders wrong. The food was tasty, but not the selection didn't offer enough to convince me to go again.

We ate here on a Thursday evening and found the restaurant mostly empty at 6:30 p.m.. People started filling up the restaurant and outside patio at about 7 p.m. The staff were friendly and we w ere quickly seated outside. Salsa and chips were quickly served, as was a queso blanco we ordered. The pork tacos were delicious and pleasantly spicy. We received four good sized tacos along with red sauce and diced cilantro and onions. My wife ordered the beef tacos and received a green sauce and the same diced items. We both would have liked some diced tomato. Our experience was much nicer and the food was of better caliber than when we first ate here a year or two ago. We were less than impressed, but said we'd give them a second chance. This proved wise as we are now likely to return, especially if we can sit outside.

I have to re-review Riviera Maya! We have been there so many times now. It has become really our favorite Mexican place. I've ordered many things, but lately I've been ordering the fajitas every time. I eat half of it and then take the other half to work the next day for lunch. Their white cheese dip is really good, too. TIP: Next time you go to Kroger, flip over that receipt and most likely there is a coupon for Riviera Maya. We always use one!

The food is very good, but the ambience is very plain and may give people some reservations about going there. There is a much better-decorated restaurant in the Bryant/Benton area. Food and service are just as good, and the place looks a little bit more upscale.

Guacamole is good. The salsa is not my favorite. Friendly service

I always get the bean dip(has queso on top) and either the tacos azados or the tacos pastor, one is steak the other slow cooked spicy marinated pork. Azados comes with a green chile lime salsa and pastor comes with a red super hot salsa. They come on 4 corn tortillas with onions and cilantro. They are always amazing.

Not that it's rational, but I was reluctant to visit this restaurant considering the bad experiences I had at the restaurant that was previously in this location...but everytime I drive past during the lunch hour, their parking lot is full. So today I went here with my wife for lunch. the facilities were clean, but typical of what you see in this type of Mexican restaurant: functional, nice paint, the usual Corona and Dos Equis advertistments, televsion en espanol, etc. The menu and prices were also quite familiar. I did have something that I hadn't previously seen on a Mexican menu: Huevos Divorciados. It consisted of 2 eggs (over easy), separated by rice and beans, with salsa verde on one egg and salsa rojo on the other. the rice and beans were unremarkable, as was the salsa verde. The salsa rojo was quite good though. Much more adventuresome than anything I've seen in cen AR, though it did remind me of several restaurants in Dallas. My wife had the Special Lunch #4: a chicken taco, beans, and cheese enchilada. It was exactly on par with other restaurants of this kind in cen AR. Both meals were much more appropriate portions than what you usually see in this kind of restaurant, perhaps b/c they were off the lunch menu. Even so, I was able to eat the entire serving without feeling like I had overdone it (fairly rare for me). Lunch for 2, with 1 iced tea, 1 water, and tip was $16. Not an impressive experience, but not bad either. At a minimum, I'll be back for the Huevos again...but this time "no salsa verde. todos salsa rojo"...maybe they'll put the on the menu for me...call it "Huevos Reconciliados."

The sign says "Discover real Mexican food". Well, to do that you need to drive south. Way south! The only thing authentically Mexican I had was a Corona. My wife said if she thought that was Mexican food she would never go to Mexico for fear of starving. Larded up soupy refried beans, and buttered rice accompany various combinations of bland slop made from a limited assortment of ingredients. Sorry but that doesn't cut it. There are plenty of authentic options on the south side of town!

This restaurant has great service, and some of the best margaritas in town. We ate here during Cinco de Mayo and the waitstaff was very tolerant of the "american partyers" there. we will be back on account of friendly staff and environment, and affordable prices.

Excellent food and service. The Polla de diablo is great. Best chips in town. Chef will adjust dishes to suit you...all you have to do is ask.

I had dinner here in January, 2010 and ordered the Riviera Maya burrito. The menu description made it sound appealing and a substantial portion, but it looked like every other mexican plate when the waiter brought it to my table; a football-shaped plate with some nondescript rolled up thing in the middle, covered with shredded lettuce and tomatoes with refried beans on one side and rice on the other. What a disappointment. El Dorado, here I come!

They try, but miss. Someone spent lots of money on the space, but, unfortunately, not the best Mexican food.
